Dveri Pax Blauburgunder Vajgen

2015 Pinot Noir Vajgen

Red wine

It displays gentle garnet colour. It shows a developed, mature nose which seem to be in a great condition for an eight years old wine. Undergrowth, mushrooms, leather, ripe juicy strawberries, vanilla. We can find fine note oak maturation. Dry, though looks a bit sweetish, medium bodied, with fully ripe, mature tannins. Nicely crafted, well tamed ripe Pinot Noir with a long finish and a good ageing potential.

Veal, roast chicken, rabbit, grilled tuna, also beef and dishes with mushroom sauces.

  • Pinot noir : 100 %

Though there were some periods of hot weather during the growing seasons, where we started to fear that some over ripeness and lack of acidities might be an issue, vintage 2015 turns to be an exceptional one. Wines are having lot of power, intensity while possessing aromatic complexity and very good ageing potential.
