After vintages 2008, 2011, 2015 and 2017, this is our fifth Pinot Gris “R”.

It possesses deeper golden colour. Medium intense, composed on the nose, significantly less intense then in many of previous editions, juicy and fruity. Caramel, vanilla, and fine oak are speaking of barrel ageing.

Very dry with notable levels of acidity, especially regarding the variety, but a bit less surprising knowing the region. This is Štajerska Slovenija feature. Full bodied, featuring fine, thin oily texture. Intense on the palate, diverse, with long, warm finish. Here, variety is kept behind, structure and richness are in the front.

Grilled seafood. In general it goes well with tasty main dishes with creamy sauces.

Cold April and May broadcasted a rather late harvest, but a very hot June almost completely compensated the delay, though not completely. July and August were warm but not hot and nice weather in September enabled grapes to be picked well into October. 2019 brought very good yields and quality is very dependent of the skills of the winemakers. At Dveri-Pax we are very happy with the results. We produced classic wines with profound varietal aromatic profiles and moderate, even low alcohol levels typical for the region.
