The colour is pale pink. Numerous tiny bubbles are playful and lively. On the nose it is gentle, delicate, reminiscent of ripe wild strawberries, discrete spices, ripe red apples, bit yeasty as well. Still very youthful. Dry on the palate, effervescence is still rather intense, and bubbles are slightly bigger compared to DP Brut, but they remain very pleasant. Acidities are moderate for a sparkling wine while notes of ripe red fruits, bread crust and yeast are even more intense than on the nose. With a long, enjoyable finish.
It can be served as an aperitif, though DP Brut Furmint will perform this job better. We suggest pairing it with warm starters, fish, lobster several other dishes with delicate taste. Perfect summer drink!
2017 vintage brought a very warm summer and one of the earliest starts of the harvest. In mid-September grapes were affected by a longer period of rain. Early ripening varieties fared much better, while late-ripening varieties had much less quantity.
Classic, bottle fermented, with 24 months ageing on the lees.
It is perfect now but will be in perfect shape for the following 2-4 years. Drink between until 2021-2025.
WINE IS CULTURE AND ALWAYS HAS VALUE AS A LINK TO SOCIETY.
