Colour is pale lemon yellow. On the nose, it is rather pronounced with classical Riesling nose reminiscent of very ripe, yellow fruits like peaches, apricots, bit of honey, lemons, acacia. Quite sweet on the palate with slightly oily texture and high levels of ripe balanced acidities that add to lovely drinkability. Very youthful at the moment but will survive at least a decade.
Fruit salads, ice cream, apple pie. How about Foie gras?
2017 vintage brought a very warm summer and one of the earliest start of the harvest. In mid-September grapes were affected by a longer period of rain. Early-ripening varieties fared much better, while late-ripening varieties had much less quantity. Very good for early ripening varieties.
In stainless steel tanks, matured on the fine lees.
In very good condition already but will improve. Best from 2018-2027.
