After vintage 2020, this is our second edition of Rosé Blaufränkisch. We believe it is a step forward.

It shows a gentle pink colour with a nice brilliance. It is youthful on the nose, showing vibrant fresh red fruits such as strawberries and raspberries. There is a touch of spicy notes. Lively, youthful, inviting.

Dry on the palate, light to medium bodied with moderate intensity of fruit character, which is very reminiscent of the nose. We can detect tiny, refreshing CO2 bubbles. This is a nicely drinkable uncomplicated, but from simple, rosé which you can quickly make a friend with.

It can be well served as an aperitif or with most of the cold dishes. It will serve you more than well as a wine of the moment, enjoyed in good company, on the summer terrace, beach, or ski-resort. Any-time, anywhere.

Vintage 2020 is second in a row, where harvest times were stretched well into October, which was very much a normality 20-30 years ago. Prolonged ripening was allowed enabling grapes to achieve perfect ripeness giving wines with medium to low alcohol levels retaining high acidity levels and varietal characters. This are all attributes which wines from Štajerska Slovenia are famed for. We speak of 2020 as a classic Styrian vintage.

Rosé 2020 wishes to be drunk when young, while still possessing vibrancy, freshness, and youthful primary aroma.
