It is of pale golden colour with lemon hues. Youthful, medium intense nose with clear varietal expression. Some ripe notes like apricot, grapefruit, lime, elderflower even rose! Certainly not a Sauvignon Blanc that screams out of a glass, more eloquent on the palate where it shows a mineral, salty, slightly bitter quality. Dry, medium bodied with high and vibrant acidities. Nicely balanced and drinkable. With longer, tasty, and salty finish which confirms that it will last more than one season.
Various vegetable dishes, especially with green bell peppers, tomatoes or asparaguses will be great.
Cold April and May broadcasted a rather late harvest, but a very hot June almost completely compensated the delay, though not completely. July and August were warm but not hot and nice weather in September enabled grapes to be picked well into October. 2019 brought very good yields and quality is very dependent of the skills of the winemakers. At Dveri-Pax we are very happy with the results. We produced classic wines with profound varietal aromatic profiles and moderate, even low alcohol levels typical for the region.
